Preparing your home for sale
If you are preparing to sell your house, there are a great many things you can do to increase the likelyhood you will sell your house quickly . First and foremost you want to make sure that you have curb appeal. The first thing a home buyer will see is the exterior of your house, so you want it looking very nice. You will want to make sure that you have your bushes trimmed and the grass mowed. Plant some blooming flowers outside, and if necessary put a fresh coat of exterior paint. Place a welcome mat at the front door and decorate for the holiday if applicable. Don't go all Walt Griswald, just something tasteful!. If you have already secured your new home, move most of your belongings to the new place, leaving some furniture so people can see how the home looks while furnished. If you cannot move your things out, remove as much clutter as possible. Do not just put things into a closet, you will make it look like you have no storage space. Open your curtains and make sure there is plenty of natural light coming in and get rid of anything that can cause bad odors, such as litter boxes. Finally, make sure you keep things clean! A weekly cleaning will make sure that your home is always ready to show!
